First month of self-publishing

The Garden of Abel has had one month up on Amazon’s ebook store. It didn’t exactly take the world by storm but it has more readers than it did when it was posted on my site. I’ve also been able to make (a little) money off the sales.

As I’ve mentioned in previous blog posts “The Garden of Abel” was already too short for most publishers to consider. Its prospects were tough for getting published, even if a publisher was willing to accept something previously published (and with little views). This little experiment only strengthens my desire to get traditionally published.

I appreciate the people who have ordered a copy, and have actually read some. However, for every 10 people that say they will, 1 actually follows through. I want to make sure I don’t mistake my social network for a real audience for my works.
