So any readers will know that “The Garden of Abel” was on my site a while back. I have now deleted the entries and have an ebook for $9.99.
I have always been hesitant to self-publish anything, but the recent rejection I received — where there was a ton of great feedback but still a rejection — made me interested in seeking out other avenues for getting my name and work out there.
That is why I turned a novel into a screenplay and submitted it to a film program. It is also why I decided to join a video game writing course.
I was originally happy to post this on my website since its length (less than 50,000 words) made it unsuitable for a traditional novel publisher anyway.
Now that “The Garden of Abel” has been on my site, most agents and publishers won’t consider it anyway. This is a chance to see if I can get some traction. It was worth a shot and I appreciate the people who have bought a copy so far. Also big thanks to my wife for encouraging me and helping me design the cover.
